Job summary

Volvo Group in Blyth is seeking a skilled Light to Heavy Vehicle Technician to join our workshop team. The role offers industry-leading training, modern facilities, and strong hourly rates with overtime opportunities.

You will service, diagnose, and repair light commercial vehicles and heavy trucks, with career progression within the Volvo network and a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working on light commercial vehicles and/or HGVs.
  • NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds / SVQ in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
  • Experience with diagnostic tools and completing repairs to Volvo standards.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on light commercial vehicles and/or heavy trucks.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using diagnostic equipment.
  • Perform safety inspections and prepare vehicles for MOT and DVSA compliance.
  • Complete warranty repairs in line with manufacturer guidelines.
  • Accurately record work carried out using digital workshop systems.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and to Volvo quality standards.
  • Support workshop efficiency by working collaboratively with service and parts teams.

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Light to Heavy Vehicle Technician to join our workshop team. This role will allow you to gain industry leading training and qualifications, strong hourly rates in comparison to the automotive industry, work with advanced technology and career development.

  • Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on light commercial vehicles and heavy trucks
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using diagnostic equipment
  • Perform safety inspections and prepare vehicles for MOT and DVSA compliance
