Job summary

JMG Solutions Ltd in Northumberland is seeking an experienced Lifting Appointed Person (AP) to oversee lifting operations on a major construction project in the North East of England. You will ensure lifting activities are properly planned, coordinated and executed safely and efficiently.

The role requires AP certification, extensive craneage knowledge and proven ability to coordinate with site teams, crane operators and subcontractors while maintaining compliance with risk assessments, method

Qualifications

• Relevant experience working as a Lifting Appointed Person on major construction or infrastructure projects.
• Appropriate Appointed Person lifting qualifications and relevant industry certifications.
• Strong knowledge of lifting operations, craneage, lifting equipment and associated safety requirements.
• Experience coordinating lifting activities within a busy construction environment.
• Strong communication, planning and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate lifting operations in accordance with relevant legislation, industry standards and project requirements.
• Prepare, review and approve lifting plans in line with the scope of appointment and site procedures.
• Assess lifting requirements, including crane selection, lifting equipment, ground conditions and site constraints.
• Coordinate with site management, lifting teams, crane operators and subcontractors.
• Ensure lifting operations are supported by appropriate risk assessments, method statements and permits.
• Monitor compliance with lifting plans and ensure all activities are undertaken safely.
