Job summary

Otis Elevator Co. in London is seeking a maintenance mechanic to safely maintain lifts and escalators, ensuring passenger safety. Daily duties include routine service checks, client updates, responding to breakdowns, and minor repairs.

The role requires an NVQ level 3 in lift service/maintenance, a valid driving license, and at least 24 months in the elevator sector. Training will be provided and you will work on site with leading clients.

Qualifications

• Hold an NVQ level 3 in lift service, maintenance, or repair.
• Hold a drivers license and within 1 hour commute of Northwest London
• You have at least 24 months of experience in the elevator sector.
• You have good skills in electricity and electrical engineering
• You are a committed professional, with safety as your priority
• You are comfortable communicating to others
• You are curious, adaptable, and you know how to work alone or in a team
• You are comfortable using electronic and digital tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine service checks on a number of units across the site, recording and escalating findings to the field manager.
• Be the face of the business, often providing updates to clients around work carried out.
• React to sudden breakdowns, working with passengers and the client to provide a technical solution.
• Perform minor repairs.
