Job summary

Marmon Lift Recruitment is seeking an experienced Lift Service Engineer to join an established lift engineering team covering Leeds and surrounding areas. In this role you will carry out PPMs and servicing on passenger and goods lifts, perform mechanical and electrical fault-finding, and respond to breakdowns to return equipment to service.

You will identify worn components, carry out repairs where required, maintain records, and work to UK health and safety standards and LOLER requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience with PPM on passenger and/or goods lifts.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience attending breakdowns and returning lifts to service.
• Ability to work independently on an allocated service route.
• Good understanding of UK lift safety requirements and maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out PPM and servicing of passenger and goods lifts.
• Fault-finding and minor repairs (mechanical/electrical).
• Attend lift breakdowns and safely return equipment to service.
• Identify worn components and report repair needs.
• Adjust components, replacements and remedial works.

LIFT SERVICE ENGINEER

Leeds

Basic Salary: £50,000 (Depending on experience & qualifications). Marmon Lift Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Lift Service Engineer to join an established lift engineering company. The role covers Leeds and surrounding areas, offering a manageable service route, strong technical support and long-term career progression.

THE ROLE

• Carry out PPM and servicing of passenger and goods lifts.
• Undertake mechanical and electrical fault-finding and minor repairs.
• Attend lift breakdowns and safely return equipment to service.
• Identify worn or defective components and report repair requirements.
• Carry out adjustments, component replacements and remedial works where required.
• Maintain accurate service and maintenance records.
• Work in accordance with current UK health and safety legislation, LOLER requirements and relevant industry standards.
• Manage an allocated service route independently.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Experienced Lift Service Engineer with a background in lift maintenance and servicing.
• Experience carrying out PPM on passenger and/or goods lifts.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience attending breakdowns and safely returning lifts to service.
• Able to identify worn or defective components and report repair requirements.
• Experience servicing and maintaining a variety of lift manufacturers, equipment and control systems.
• Able to work independently across an allocated service route.
• Good understanding of UK lift safety requirements and maintenance procedures.
• Relevant lift engineering qualifications and/or substantial industry experience.
