Job summary

Stannah Group is seeking a Lift Repair Engineer to cover Luton and surrounding areas. The role focuses on hands-on repairs, fault finding, and keeping lifts running reliably, with a local patch and no excessive travel.

You will manage your day-to-day work with support from a local supervisor, completing site paperwork and ensuring safety and efficiency on each job.

Qualifications

• Experience repairing and fault finding on lifts in commercial, residential or public sites.
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering (or equivalent) is essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs and fault finding on lifts.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues.
• Replace and upgrade components where needed.
• Attend breakdowns and call-outs and return lifts to service promptly.
• Document site work and keep records up to date.

Lift Repair Engineer Job in Luton at Stannah - Join Our Team! Stannah | Full-Time | Permanent

Salary: Up to £56,000 (incl OTE) based on skills and experience level.

Hours: Monday-Thursday: 08:00 - 16:45, Friday: 08:00 - 15:45 (early finish)

We're looking for a Lift Repair Engineer to cover Luton and surrounding areas. This is a hands-on role focused on repairs, fault finding, and keeping lifts running reliably. You'll be working across a local patch, dealing with breakdowns, worn components, and more complex faults.

You’ll manage your own work day-to-day, with support from a local supervisor when needed.

Your Patch

• Covering Luton and nearby areas
• Local, structured patch
• Mix of commercial, residential and public sites
• No unnecessary long-distance travel

Lift Repair Engineer Responsibility

• Carrying out repairs and fault finding on lifts
• Diagnosing electrical and mechanical issues
• Replacing and upgrading components
• Attending breakdowns and supporting call-outs
• Getting lifts back into service safely and efficiently
• Completing site paperwork and keeping records up to date

Lift Engineer Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering (or equivalent)
• Experience working as a lift engineer (service/repair)
• Full UK driving licence
