Job summary

Otis Elevator Co. in London is seeking a maintenance mechanic to safely maintain elevator and escalator units on-site for a key client. Your priority is passenger safety and reliable operation.

On a typical day you will carry out lifts maintenance and service visits across the London area, respond quickly to breakdowns with the aim of a first-time fix, and perform minor repairs to keep systems running. The role requires NVQ or equivalent in lift service, at least 24 months in the lift industry,

Role Overview

Your priority is to ensure the safety of passengers and technical stakeholders by safely maintaining elevator and escalator units directly on site with one of our key clients.

On a typical day you will

• Carry out 100% of the lift maintenance and service visits of the units within the London area.
• Work within and across the London area, managing the portfolio of lifts across it.
• Respond proactively and quickly to fix any breakdowns, aiming to achieve first time fix.
• Carry out minor repairs to achieve continual operation.
• Liaise directly with the customer while on site to build a good working relationship.

What you will need to be successful

• Be NVQ, or equivalent, qualified within lift service, repair and/or maintenance.
• You have at least 24 months of experience in the lift industry.
• You have good skills in electricity and electrical engineering.
• You are a committed professional, with safety as your priority.
• You are comfortable communicating to others.
• You are curious, adaptable, and you know how to work alone or in a team.
• You are comfortable using electronic and digital tools.
