Job summary

Essential Employment seeks a Lift & Electrical Manager on a temporary basis in Sutton. The role handles lift and electrical compliance contracts, with full responsibility for delivering planned maintenance, major works, and capital projects from inception to completion.

You will monitor contractor performance, prepare specifications and tender documents, and oversee consultants and contractors to ensure quality, budget, and timing targets.

Responsibilities

• Manage lift and electrical compliance contracts, ensuring all statutory, regulatory, and health & safety requirements are met.
• Monitor contractor performance through audits, inspections, KPI reviews, and compliance reporting.
• Lead the delivery of lift and electrical planned maintenance, major works, and capital projects from inception to completion.
• Prepare specifications, tender documentation, procurement exercises, and oversee consultants and contractors.
• Conduct pre- and post-inspections to ensure works are completed to the required quality, budget, and timescales.
• Maintain accurate compliance records, asset data, and performance information systems.
• Build effective relationships with residents, leaseholders, contractors, and key stakeholders, addressing enquiries and complaints professionally.
• Provide technical advice on lift, electrical, engineering, compliance, and asset management matters.
• Support CDM 2015 compliance, leasehold consultation (Section 20), and major works statutory requirements.
• Manage budgets, expenditure, cash flow forecasts, and performance reporting, ensuring value for money and continuous service improvement.
