Job summary

Stannah is seeking a Technical Design Engineer in Andover to join the Major Projects team. This hybrid role requires delivering high-quality lift designs for prestigious clients, predominantly Network Rail, from concept through to procurement and delivery.

You will lead design activities, coordinate interfaces, and provide technical leadership across the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements. Strong AutoCAD and Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience designing lift installations to specification.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles.
• Excellent AutoCAD and Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Organised and detail-focused, with the ability to deliver under tight project deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Produce lift design drawings and progress projects to construction approval.
• Coordinate and manage lift designs, ensuring compliance with Network Rail and industry standards.
• Liaise with contractors, clients, suppliers, and project teams to support successful delivery.
• Carry out site surveys, create manufacturing drawings, and maintain accurate Bills of Materials.
• Provide technical support, testing documentation, design handovers, and engineering administration throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lift industry experience designing lift installations to client specifications.
