Job description

Hourly rate: £11.58 per hour

Hours per week: 14 hours, including some weekends and evenings

Are you an enthusiastic team-player ready to join our wonderful home? Your main role will be to plan and deliver meaningful, person-centred activities to our residents. You will also guide, develop, and coach staff in engagement and activities, ensuring each day is filled with meaningful moments. We believe everyone should help residents live well and enjoy life, enhancing their dignity and self-esteem through engagement, positive relationships, and respecting individuality.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading and delivering high-quality meaningful activities for residents
  • Ensuring residents with dementia have equal opportunities for engagement and activities
  • Stimulating interaction and communication between staff and residents
  • Promoting and enhancing mealtimes as highlights of the day
  • Creating and maintaining strong community links

You will receive individual support, guidance, and development opportunities to confidently deliver high-quality activities and engagement.

Applicants should have a positive, forward-thinking attitude, the ability to motivate and guide others, and excellent communication skills. Care home experience and previous activity leadership are advantageous. Flexibility, assertiveness, and a diverse background are valued.
