Description

The Home for Little Wanderers, Southeast Campus/The COVE School for youth and adolescents located in Plymouth, MA, is seeking to hire a Seasonal Lifeguard for the summer months. This is a part-time position requiring flexibility in hours.

Qualifications:
  • Lifeguard certification required
  • First Aid AED/CPR MA State certifications required
  • Must be 18 years or older
Duties:
  • Monitor the area of surveillance to ensure youth safety and proper behavior according to rules.
  • Respond in emergency situations, providing rescue and first aid assistance up to training level until medical personnel arrive.
  • Inspect the aquatic facility for unsafe conditions and cleanliness, reporting hazards to the supervisor.
  • Enforce rules consistently and fairly.
  • Complete incident reports and other documentation as needed.
  • Collaborate with Direct Care Staff to support behavior management of youth.
  • Maintain swim level records of all youth and utilize these levels to ensure safety.
  • Familiarize with established program policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate swimming endurance and strength necessary for the role.
  • Maintain a professional appearance.
  • Engage professionally with facility youth and staff, serving as a role model.
  • Attend all relevant meetings and training sessions for aquatic staff.
