Job summary

Active North Yorkshire Selby Leisure Centre is seeking a dedicated Lifeguard to help keep swimmers safe, monitor pool activities and provide emergency care when needed. You will also undertake regular cleaning and safety checks.

The role requires RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification Gen 10 and strong communication skills. We offer a range of benefits, including a local government pension scheme, salary sacrifice schemes and wellbeing support.

Qualifications

• RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification Gen 10 (Essential).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and act quickly in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor pool activities and ensure the safety of all swimmers.
• Enforce pool rules and regulations.
• Provide emergency care and first aid as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the facility.
• Assist with pool operations and maintenance.
