Lifeguard - Part Time @ Nantwich - Various Hours

Location: Nantwich Leisure Centre

Hours: 24 hour & 8 Hour contracts available. Hours will include earlies, daytime, evenings and weekends. Everybody swimming pools are open 7 days a week - generally from 6am to 10pm (subject to each pool\'s programme) and lifeguards work on a shift rota basis across the week and weekends.

Competency Assessment Date: TBC (approx 7 days after closing date). Please let us know before the closing date if you are unable to attend the assessment.

Responsibilities

• As a Pool Lifeguard, you\'ll play a vital role in ensuring that every visit to the pool is a positive and memorable experience, whether for lane swimming, family fun, pool parties, or swimming lessons.
• Assist with creating a safe and enjoyable swimming environment and encourage swimmers and non-swimmers to return to the centre.
• Work as part of a team on a shift rota across the week and weekends to cover pool hours.

Qualifications & Assessment

• Competency assessments include: Swim 100 metres on the front and back, tread water for 30 seconds, contact rescue in deep water, multiple timed swims, spinal injury management, CPR/First aid, and other lifeguard-related competencies as listed.
• Note: Not currently NPLQ qualified applicants may be considered as funding may be available to obtain the qualification.
• Assessment criteria include an on-the-day evaluation and a shortlisting process; attendance at the competency assessment is required if shortlisted.
