GLL is looking for a Lifeguard to work at Stoke Newington West Reservoir Centre. If you have the skills and ambition to join us as a Lifeguard, there's never been a more exciting time to join. This is more than a Lifeguard job; it's a career.

A Lifeguard's role is vital and comes with significant responsibility. If you're calm under pressure, highly responsible, and natural with people from all walks of life, this is your chance to develop as a Lifeguard.

Your passion for swimming and love of great customer service will shine through when supervising our customers in the pool and supporting the team in keeping our centres clean and tidy. We operate year-round with shifts starting from 06:30 to 21:00 during peak season.

What you need:
  • A real focus on customer service
  • Passion and personality
  • Knowledge of health and safety
  • Being a great team player
  • Ideally, you'll have your Swim Event Safety Award (SESA)/Swimmer Safety Rescue Course (SSRC) and an RYA Level 2 Powerboat certificate. We welcome applicants who are part-trained or only trained in one.
  • Kayak Paddling ability to Paddle UK Discover Award
  • First aid certification, ideally with an aquatic/marine background like RYA
What you’ll do:
  • Experience regular reservoir rotations
  • Supervise and maintain the reservoir area
  • Set up equipment
  • Handle customer queries
  • Support your team by preparing studios and rooms for activities and maintaining the centre when not waterside
