Job summary

The Lensbury in Teddington is recruiting a Pool Lifeguard to ensure pool safety, provide customer service, and monitor facilities. The role involves supervising swimmers, advising on pool usage, and keeping chemical levels within safe limits.

Candidates should hold a National Pool Lifeguard certificate (NPLQ) and demonstrate excellent customer service, initiative, and teamwork with a solid focus on health and safety.

Qualifications

• National Pool Lifeguard certificate (NPLQ) is required.
• Bright personality with excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work on initiative and take responsibility.
• Excellent team player with good health and safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of all users to the Swimming Pool and associated areas.
• Offer professional advice on the use of facilities.
• Maintain checks on pool chemical levels and the day-to-day running of facilities.
• Undertake cleaning of all areas within the facilities as per schedule.
• General reception duties and answering telephone enquiries when required.

Part of Iconic Hotels and Resorts, The Lensbury is located on the Banks of the River Thames at Teddington and is home to an exclusive leisure club, a 155 bedroom hotel, meeting and events space, restaurant and bar, Spa and 25 acres of gardens and grounds.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of all users to the Swimming Pool and associated areas.
• Offer professional advice on the use of facilities.
• Maintain checks on Pool chemical levels and the general day to day running of facilities.
• Undertake cleaning of all areas within the facilities as per schedule
• General reception duties, telephone enquiries when required

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications, attitude, behaviours, skills, and values:

• National Pool Lifeguard certificate (NPLQ) is required
