The Marina Centre

Providing an exciting range of activities for residents and visitors alike, including a leisure pool with two slides, fun splash zone, clip and climb, an impressive fitness suite and exercise studios, and a sports hall offering a wide range of activities. The centre also boasts an amazing café overlooking the beach, serving as a focal point for the community.

If you enjoy talking to people, this is definitely the role for you. We understand that engaging with customers and colleagues can be challenging and often requires experience. We will provide all necessary training to become a successful Lifeguard, and we believe that employing people from diverse employment backgrounds can benefit our team, including those in their first job needing support.

As a Lifeguard, you will ensure high standards of service by maintaining friendly, clean, and safe facilities.

You don't need to be an Olympic swimmer, but you must be able to swim competently. If you need extra coaching, our excellent swim teachers can support your improvement.

If you're interested in progressing further, we offer additional training opportunities, both formal and on-the-job. However, we also value those who are happy in their current role, regardless of career advancement.

Requirements

• NPLQ qualification or equivalent
• DBS check
• Competent swimmer (swim test during interview)
• Ability to relate to customers of all ages and abilities, and to colleagues
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Team-oriented, supportive, and able to work across boundaries
• Flexible working and ability to follow instructions
• Passion and energy for the leisure industry
