Job description

GLL is seeking full-time or part-time Lifeguards to work at Fulwood Leisure Centre and West View Better Health Leisure Centre in Preston. If you have the skills and ambition to join our team, this is more than a job — it's a career. The role of a Lifeguard is vital, and with it comes significant responsibility. If you remain calm under pressure, are highly responsible, and enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds, this is your opportunity to develop as a Lifeguard. Your passion for swimming and commitment to excellent customer service will be evident as you supervise pool activities and support the team in maintaining a clean and safe environment.

What you need:

• A strong focus on customer service
• Passion and personality
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations
• Ability to work well in a team
• Ideally, you will have your National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) with current training records; if not, training can be provided upon passing a swim test.

What you’ll do:

• Participate in regular pool rotations
• Supervise and clean the pool area
• Set up equipment
• Handle customer queries
• Support the team by preparing studios, gyms, or sports halls for activities, and assist with general cleaning and maintenance of the centre when not poolside.
