Job description

GLL is looking for full-time or part-time Lifeguards to work at Fulwood Leisure Centre and West View Better Health Leisure Centre in Preston. If you have the skills and ambition to join our team, this is more than a job, it's a career. A Lifeguard role cannot be underestimated, and neither can the responsibility that comes with this vital lifeguarding role. If you are calm under pressure, highly responsible, and natural with people from all walks of life, this is your chance to develop as a Lifeguard. As a Lifeguard, your passion for swimming and love of great customer service will shine through when supervising our customers in the pool, as well as supporting the team in keeping our centres clean and tidy.

What you need:

• A real focus on customer service.
• Passion and personality.
• Knowledge of health and safety.
• Be a great team player.
• Ideally, you'll have your National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) with up-to-date training records. If not, the NPLQ training can be provided, subject to passing a swim test.

What you’ll do:

• Experience regular pool rotations.
• Supervise and clean the pool area.
• Set up equipment.
• Deal with customer queries.
• When not poolside, support your team by preparing studios, gyms, or sports halls for activities, and assist with general cleaning and upkeep of the centre.
