Job summary

Qualifications

Role

We are looking to recruit for a fully qualified Lifeguard to join our team. As a Lifeguard you’ll be an important part of life here at the centre as you ensure that everyone can use the pool in safety and that they have access to everything they need to enjoy their visit.

You’ll be part of a close knit and supportive team, working to provide an inclusive leisure hub for the entire community. You will receive training and development opportunities and benefits including free leisure access and other discounts.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer care to people of all ages, interacting with customers in a leisure or other customer-facing environment.
• Supervise activities, maintain high standards of cleanliness in the pool area, and ensure safe handling and setup of pool equipment.
• Ensure pool safety and be prepared to help save lives when needed.
• Be safety conscious, vigilant, and able to cope with pressurised situations.
• Hold a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (Royal Life Saving Society) and maintain strong swimming skills.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage with people of all ages and backgrounds.
• National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (Royal Life Saving Society) is essential.
• Strong swimming skills and safety-focused mindset.
