Job summary

Away Resorts is recruiting lifeguards to ensure safety and a welcoming poolside experience at our UK resorts. You will oversee guest safety, maintain a clean environment, and assist guests with a friendly, proactive approach.

Shifts include weekends and bank holidays. Training and premium incentives may be provided to support your role as a friendly holiday hero at Cleethorpes Pearl Park and other locations.

Qualifications

• Valid NPLQ qualification or willingness to train and pass swimming tests.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, able to be assertive yet friendly.
• Naturally vigilant and helpful, prioritising guest safety and needs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety at the pool and surrounding areas.
• Keep facilities clean and hygienic in line with regulations.
• Be the go-to person at the poolside, assist guests and answer questions.

What we need in a nutshell

We want our guests to enjoy time down at the pool and to be safe too, so we need qualified lifeguards who have outstanding people skills.

Who are we?

We’re adynamic andgrowing company,shaking up the Great British holidayat our award-winning UK resorts.Guests at Cleethorpes Pearl Park enjoy the ultimate getaway, with delights that include a heated lido, live entertainment and award-winning green spaces, all close to the seaside.

Working as part of our team of holiday heroes, you will be the go-to person at the poolside. You will look after everyone’s safety, keep the whole area clean and hygienic and make sure that we’re meeting our legal requirements.

Be incredibly friendly, answering guests’ questions and making sure that everyone is having a great time. You want to be remembered by the guests as being one of the outstanding heroes of their holiday.

One more thing holidays happen at holiday times, so you will need to work your magic on weekends and bank holidays too.

Skills, experience and qualities you’ll need.

There’s lots of training on offer but you will need:

• A valid NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification) – although not essential as we can provide training, but you will need to pass our swimming tests first.
• Fantastic interpersonal skills – you’ll need to be assertive as well as friendly.
• To be naturally vigilant and helpful - guests come first, so you need to be alert to their needs as well as their safety.

If your application is successful, you’ll have to apply for an Enhanced DBS. We need to be happy that this, together with other information we may request, is all in order before you can join the team.
