Job summary

Parkdean Resorts is hiring attentive Lifeguards to help create a safe, enjoyable environment across our UK leisure parks. You will supervise pools and surrounding areas, respond to incidents, and deliver friendly guest service as part of a lively team.

You will hold an NPLQ Lifeguard qualification (or be willing to train) and participate in ongoing health, safety and pool operations training. We offer great discounts for staff and their families plus a 24/7 employee support helpline.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid NPLQ Lifeguard qualification or be a strong swimmer willing to train.
• Desirable qualifications: Pool Lifeguard Trainer Assessor, Pool Plant Operations, or First Aid at Work.
• Customer-focused approach with a strong commitment to guest safety and experience.

Responsibilities

• Actively supervise the swimming pool and ancillary areas to keep guests safe.
• Respond promptly to incidents following emergency action plans.
• Provide first aid and emergency response as required.
• Perform routine water quality and chemical testing and record results.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and safety across pool and leisure areas.
• Deliver friendly, professional customer service and act as a park ambassador.
• Engage in ongoing training in health & safety, lifesaving, and pool operations.

Job description

At Parkdean Resorts, we're looking for attentive, safety driven Lifeguards to help create a secure, enjoyable, and memorable leisure environment for our guests. If you're passionate about safety, guest service, and being part of a lively team, this role is the perfect fit.

As a Lifeguard, you'll be a key part of ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all guests using our swimming pools and surrounding areas. You'll maintain vigilant supervision, respond quickly and professionally to incidents, and help keep our leisure facilities clean, safe, and welcoming at all times.

What you will be doing...

• Actively supervising the swimming pool and ancillary areas to ensure guest safety at all times.
• Responding promptly and professionally to any incidents, following emergency action plans.
• Providing first aid and emergency response whenever required, in line with training.
• Carrying out routine water quality and chemical testing, recording results, and taking corrective action where needed.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and safety across pool and leisure areas.
• Delivering friendly, professional customer service and acting as a positive ambassador for the park.
• Undertaking ongoing training in health & safety, lifesaving skills, customer care, and pool plant operations.

About you...

• A valid NPLQ Lifeguard qualification - or you're a strong swimmer willing to gain it through training.
• Pool Lifeguard Trainer Assessor, Pool Plant Operations, or First Aid at Work qualifications (desirable).
• A customer focused approach with a strong commitment to guest safety and experience.
• Confidence working in a fast paced environment with responsibility for guest welfare.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, evenings, and bank holidays.
• A positive, calm, and proactive attitude.
