Job summary

Equans UK & Ireland seeks a Lifecycle Project Site Supervisor to lead site delivery at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham. This permanent, full-time role offers 37.5 hours weekly with a salary banding of £30,000 - £35,000 plus benefits.

You will oversee capital works, supervise sub-contractors, manage resources, and ensure health, safety, quality, and timely handovers across projects. DBS Basic check required.

Qualifications

• Experience of construction areas and knowledge of building legislation and projects
• Strong ICT skills and ability to use IT tools relevant to site supervision
• Experience of managing specialist sub-contract supply chains
• Up to date knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
• SSSTS (Desirable) or IOSH (Desirable) are assets

• Support the project manager to manage site H&S, site management, snagging and handover
• Supervise sub-contractors delivering a wide range of project works
• Ensure efficient use of resources, planning, and availability of materials and equipment
• Manage health & safety on all projects and complete snagging and handover
• Oversee Quality Control through monitoring and auditing
• Liaise with the client on formal and informal bases
• Apply for licences and permits needed to execute works

Equans is looking for a Lifecycle Project Site Supervisor to join our team based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham on a permanent basis. This is a full‑time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary banding of £30,000 - £35,000 per annum, dependent upon skills and experience and benefits package.

What will you deliver?

• Manage the site delivery of capital works and lifecycle projects as part of the project delivery team at the QEH

• Supporting the project manager to manage site H&S, site management, snagging and hangover of every project, as required, including the monitoring of a team of Trade Operatives and Sub-Contractors

• Responsible for the supervision of sub-contractors delivering a wide range of project works

• Responsible for the efficient use of resources and ensuring that, job planning, appointments, materials, plant and equipment are effectively utilised and continuously improved in accordance with service delivery targets

• Responsible for the management of health & safety on all projects and the necessary completion, snagging and handover of all projects

• Manage Quality Control through a structured monitoring process and auditing

• Liaison with the client on both a formal and informal basis

• Application for all licences, permits etc. and ensuring they are in place to execute the works correctly

Who are you?

• Experience of construction areas and relevant knowledge of building legislation and building and construction projects

• Strong ICT skills

• Strong people management skills

• Experience of managing specialist sub-contract supply chains

• Excellent understanding and adherence to SHEQ practices

• Up to date relevant knowledge and experience of Health and Safety legislation

• Microsoft Office or other relevant IT related qualification (Desirable)

• SSSTS (Desirable)

• IOSH (Desirable)

• Driving licence

This role includes a DBS Basic check therefore ability to pass is essential.
