Job summary

ABCA Group Ltd in Greater Manchester is seeking a Life Safety Systems Officer to carry out planned inspections and safety checks across multiple sites, ensuring fire safety systems and life safety equipment are compliant and working correctly.

You will identify faults, complete inspection reports, and arrange remedial works to keep residents and building occupants safe. A full UK driving licence is required, and a proactive, detail‑oriented approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in fire safety, building compliance, facilities management or maintenance.
• Good understanding of fire safety systems and life safety equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled fire safety inspections across multiple sites.
• Inspect communal and flat entrance fire doors, checking condition, seals, closers and compliance.
• Test fire alarms, smoke detectors, emergency lighting, AOV systems and warden call systems.
• Identify and report defects, raising remedial works where required.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and asset information.
• Liaise with clients and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Follow relevant legislation, British Standards and company Health & Safety procedures.
