A leading care provider in the UK is seeking a compassionate Life Practitioner to support individuals with severe learning disabilities. You will assist them in daily activities and community trips while promoting their independence. The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or be willing to obtain it. Life Practitioner £27,845.22 - £30,763.20 per annum DOE
We are looking for Life Practitioners to join our team at our Children’s Residential Homes Church View and The Old Vicarage. Both homes are located within four acres of the beautiful quiet village Swinderby, just ten miles from the centre of Lincoln.
We are looking for a compassionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated Life Practitioner to join our team. As a Life Practitioner, you will provide essential support to individuals with severe learning disabilities and complex needs. You will play a key role in helping them live fulfilling, independent lives by assisting them in daily activities and accompanying them on trips into the community.
We provide a company vehicle that can be used to transport the people we support to community activities such as shopping, meals, appointments, and outings. To drive the company vehicle you must have held a full UK driver’s licence or have been driving in the UK for 2 years or more.
As a Support Worker / Life Practitioner you’ll be an integral part of the team, teaching young people life skills in context and supporting them to integrate these skills. We’ll give you all the training you’ll need. You’ll contribute to and promote the development of young people’s communication, self-help, and independence skills - undertaking actions devised by other specialist colleagues, such as speech therapists and educational psychologists and providing feedback on sessions. You will also support individuals with maintaining and improving their health and supporting emotional needs, always promoting increased independence. Support Workers participate in a wide range of innovative and exciting recreational activities such as trips to the Safari Park, fun fairs or local restaurants.
