Introduction

This is an exciting new full-time post which would suit someone with an infectious Christian faith, enthusiasm, and energy. The chaplain will enjoy working with young people in school, church, and home/community settings and have a pioneering mindset – able to build relationships and collaborations, see and take creative opportunities, and encourage and enable others to work and grow alongside them. During term time, the chaplain will normally work a core of three days a week in John Kyrle High School, the one secondary school in Ross-on-Wye. The other two days of the week will focus on growing connections between school, church, and homelife of young people and their families in the ‘Hub’ market town of Ross-on-Wye, based at St Mary’s Anglican Church, and in two small strategic rural locations in the wider school catchment area/Anglican deanery around Ross-on-Wye.
