We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Walsall to assist with the appointment of a Licensing Officer, on a 3-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £13.02 - £16.39 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and information on licensing matters to the public, local businesses, legal representatives, and council officers.
  • Address inquiries via telephone, in person, and in writing, adeptly signposting customers to other services when necessary.
  • Identify licenses subject to renewal and ensure the timely issuance of accurate reminders and invoices.
  • Undertake predominantly administrative duties, including processing license applications, meticulous data recording, data inputting, and the maintenance of the public register.
  • Validate documents to ensure strict compliance with licensing regulations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in handling licensing applications.
  • In-depth familiarity with the Licensing Act 2003, Gambling Act 2005, and Taxi legislation.

Skills Required:

  • Strong organisational and administrative aptitude.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and accuracy in processing applications.
  • Ability to work efficiently within a team and autonomously.

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires a Basic DBS
