Job summary

FutureCare is hiring Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to serve as frontline caregivers in our Maryland facilities. You will assist in care planning, provide direct resident care under RN supervision, and ensure nursing practices align with state and federal guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active LPN license issued in Maryland.
• 1 year of nursing experience preferred.
• Experience caring for residents in acute or long-term care is a plus.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal communication with residents, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist in care planning and treatments under the supervision of the RN.
• Provide nursing care to residents on the assigned unit.
• Review resident medical records to ensure nursing practice complies with state and federal guidelines.
• Document care provided and report changes to the shift supervisor.
• Review referrals for consultation, treatment, or resolution to ensure alignment with nurse plans.
• Seek opportunities for professional growth and expansion of responsibilities to maintain competency.
• Set and implement goals aligned with FutureCare’s nursing facility philosophy.

• Review all referrals for consultation, treatment or resolution of problems are valid and applicable to the documented nurse plans


• Seeks opportunities for professional growth and expansion of responsibilities to maintain competency levels


• Set and implement goals and policies consistent with the philosophy and purpose of FutureCare’s nursing facility

Qualifications

• Must hold an active LPN license issued in the state of Maryland


• 1 year of nursing experience preferred


• Previous experience caring for residents in an acute or long-term health care facility a plus


• Team player with strong work ethic and a willingness to assist where needed


• Must possess a current CPR license


• Ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal communication with all personnel, residents, and families
