We are hiring a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist to join our WISE program, which provides mental health services to these communities and their families/caregivers. We seek a skilled, ethical, licensed marriage and family therapist with expertise in psychological assessment, diagnosis, and documentation. This role offers flexibility to work in clients' homes (wherever they reside) on your own schedule, delivering care that significantly enhances their quality of life while maintaining the highest standards of ethics and confidentiality.

Type of role: 1099 (70/30 - Reimbursement) (Minimum 10 clinical hours weekly)

Our group practice comprises licensed clinicians (LPC, LMFT, LCSW, LPCA, LMSW, MFTA, APRN, PMHNP) who provide an array of counseling services and individual medication management. We also deliver telehealth services state-wide and in-home mental health therapy to specific areas.

About the position:
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists can provide in-home, non-crisis outpatient mental health counseling to clients of our WISE program, designed to service seniors, medically compromised and intellectually disabled communities, and/or their families/caregivers. LMFTs have the autonomy to manage their own schedules, allowing them to set appointment times and arrange their work hours based on client needs and personal preferences. This includes the ability to work evenings or weekends if desired, though not required. We support a healthy work-life balance and encourage LMFTs to design a schedule that fits their lifestyle while ensuring client needs are met.

Note: WISE Program Clinicians are not on call and are not case managers. This is a clinical role and we can resource connect as needed.

Who we are looking for:

  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
  • 1 -3 years experience conducting counseling/talk therapy sessions with diverse client populations.
  • Previous experience working in the medical field with seniors and/or intellectually disabled clients *do not have to have experience with all 3 to apply.
  • Passion for in-home work.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in conducting intake assessments and formulating treatment plans.
  • Strong written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide and maintain documentation within the appropriate time frames.
  • Have a valid driver's license and access to a properly insured vehicle for work or reliable transportation.
  • Spanish speaking preferred (Not Required)

What you’ll do:

  • Assess the mental and behavioral health status of referred clients with mild to moderate mental health conditions and/or substance abuse issues and conduct standardized counseling/talk therapy sessions for Stokes Counseling clients.
  • Perform intake/biopsychosocial assessments to evaluate clients' mental and behavioral health status.
  • Formulate differential diagnoses along with short-term and long-term goals.
  • Provide and maintain written documentation of intake, assessments, progress/contact notes, interventions, treatment plans, and termination notes within the designated time frame.
