Qualifications

First Military Recruitment is proudly partnering with a leading helicopter services provider seeking a Licensed Helicopter Captain on a permanent basis at their Norwich depot.

This role offers a unique opportunity to join a company providing mission-critical helicopter services to the air ambulance, police, and offshore sectors. The organization delivers world-class operations to help save lives and protect communities daily.

As a Norwich Pilot, you will operate EC135 and EC145 aircraft across various roles, including HEMS and NVIS operations. The position demands maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and safety in this challenging environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Fly for the air ambulance, police, and offshore sectors.
  • Ensure health and safety compliance and a strong understanding of aviation regulations.
  • Perform night tasking operations.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1000 hours pilot-in-command, including 500 hours on twin turbine helicopters, or 1000 hours as co-pilot in HEMS operations with 500 hours as PIC under supervision, and 100 hours PIC on twin turbine helicopters.
  • At least 2000 hours of helicopter experience.
  • 500 hours of operational experience in twin turbine helicopters similar to the intended operations.
  • 20 hours of VMC night flying as PIC.
  • Current or recent HEMS experience.
  • Experience flying with Night Vision Goggles.
  • Hold a UK ATPL(H).
  • Qualified and instrument-rated on the EC145.
  • Full UK Driving License.
  • Right to work in the UK.
