The Licensed Clinician II operates as part of a comprehensive 23-Hour Crisis Stabilization team that provides ongoing assessment, crisis intervention, and clinical determination for level of care to individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis. This dynamic team addresses urgent behavioral health needs, including but not limited to significant emotional dysregulation, disordered thought processes, substance use intoxication resulting in behavioral crisis, and environmentally de-stabilizing events requiring multi-disciplinary crisis intervention.
The Licensed Clinician II operates in both supervisory/administrative and clinical roles. They provide clinical oversight to assigned licensed Clinician I and unlicensed Clinician II staff, assist in monitoring quality assurance, contribute to process improvement, and help solve problems within the department. They are responsible for providing person-centered, trauma-informed care aimed at stabilization at the least restrictive level of care, with an emphasis on post-crisis growth. The ideal candidate will work well with internal and community stakeholders, including police, community partners, peer support, and emergency services staff, to coordinate care and ensure safety in the community. Knowledge of DSM-V, suicide risk assessment and safety planning, crisis intervention, levels of care, community resources, and trauma-informed practices that promote client engagement is essential.
