Job summary

Mercor is assembling a panel of energy and propulsion experts to red-team frontier AI models, testing how well a model judges misuse and safety boundaries.

You will write challenging prompts at benign, dual-use, and adversarial levels, evaluate model responses against policy standards, and craft reference answers with clear technical justification. Prior publication or expert-witness writing in related fields is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Licensed blaster or blasting engineer with daily handling of specialty materials.
• Experience with blast design, vibration control, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong written communication and ability to explain complex topics to non-specialists.

Responsibilities

• Write prompts across benign, dual-use, and adversarial levels.
• Evaluate model outputs against a defined policy standard.
• Produce reference answers and the technical reasoning behind them.
• Communicate judgments in clear, formal written rationale.
