Qualifications

• Home Office Personal Licence Modules A, B & C are essential.
• Experience conducting procedures such as taking genotyping samples is advantageous.
• Willingness to work towards IAT Level 3 in Animal Technology.

Responsibilities

• Day to day care of transgenic and wild-type rodents.
• Maintain breeding colonies to ensure animals are produced with minimum surplus.
• Assist with experimental procedures as needed.

Skills

Experience with laboratory rodents

Knowledge of breeding and maintenance of wild-type and transgenic mice

Familiarity with IVC systems

Knowledge of lab safety regulations

Education

IAT Level 2 Animal Technology or equivalent
