LSIndex in Exeter is seeking a licensed animal technician to join our client’s growing research facility. The role focuses on procedural/licensed work with rodents, supporting experimental studies and daily operations.

You will train staff, assist with animal experimentation, prepare study plans, maintain records, and ensure medicines handling meets regulatory standards. A BSc in Biological Sciences is required, with a relocation package offered if needed, salary £26,000.

Qualifications

• Experience training staff members in a lab environment.
• Experience working in a rodent research facility.
• BSc or higher in Biological Sciences or equivalent degree.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with animal experimentation and research.
• Help prepare and submit study plans.
• Record keeping for animal and laboratory records.
• Support daily husbandry tasks in the facility.
