Mobile Library Supervisor

Location: Witham

Salary: £16 per hour

Type: Temporary, Casual

Note: Applicants must possess a current HGV Class 2 driving license and be able to operate a 12-ton vehicle.

Role Overview

Responsibilities

1. Welcome library users and support the delivery of quality services at the base or other locations.
2. Manage stock circulation using online systems, including issuing, returning, reservations, and stock maintenance.
3. Maintain and clean vehicles, including scheduling maintenance and repairs.
4. Deliver books and equipment as required.
5. Adhere to health, safety, and safeguarding policies.
6. Participate in training and self-development activities.
7. Promote services, contribute to statistical reporting, and engage with customer feedback.
8. Perform additional duties as required.

Candidate Requirements

1. Current HGV Class 2 driving license and experience driving large vehicles.
2. Experience with routine vehicle checks.
3. Minimum age of 21 years.
4. Proficiency in online IT systems.
5. Strong customer service skills, with experience working with diverse populations, including the elderly.
6. Open to change and innovative in approach.
7. Knowledge of local authority operations, health and safety, GDPR, and FOI legislation.
