Job description

Do you want to work in the valued community setting of a library?

In this customer-facing role, you will handle enquiries face-to-face, via email, or by telephone, providing excellent customer service. You will support the delivery of library services, including IT support, information, and activities for all ages, helping people access resources and ensuring a positive experience.

You will be based at Stafford Library, which is open Monday to Saturday.

The hours of work are 20.5 hours a week:

Week One:

  • Monday: 10.00am-6.00pm
  • Wednesday: 10.00am-6.00pm
  • Friday: 10.00am-5.00pm

Week Two:

  • Monday: 10.00am-6.00pm
  • Friday: 10.00am-5.00pm
  • Saturday: 9.00am-4.00pm

Main Responsibilities

  • Helping customers find information and resources
  • Providing digital support for PC users and e-services
  • Supporting projects and activities for all ages
  • Promoting library services and events through social media and outreach
  • Sales and cash handling
