The UCL AI Centre is seeking a part-time Library Assistant to deliver exceptional customer service and clerical support at the UCL Language & Speech Science Library. About The Role
The post holder will be part of a customer-facing team working at the UCL Language & Speech Science (LaSS) Library. LaSS Library primarily serves staff, students and researchers in the Division of Psychology and Language Science and the Ear Institute. Subject coverage encompasses Audiology, Linguistics, Psychology & Language, and Speech Language Sciences. The collection includes unique collections of books, journals, clinical assessment tests and electronic resources.
The main purpose of the job is to provide excellent customer service and clerical support for library resources and facilities. The post holder will also support a wide range of activities including the use of technology, social media, maintenance of the estate, and health & safety.
Manual handling is required to carry out this role. Training will be provided.
This is an on-campus role. It is not suitable for regular remote working.
This role does not meet the eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa certificate of sponsorship under UK Visas and Immigration legislation. Therefore, UCL will not be able to sponsor individuals who require right to work in the UK to carry out this role.
