A local government authority in Kilwinning is seeking a part-time library assistant to provide front-line services. The role requires comfort with lone working and availability on weekends. Candidates must comply with PVG requirements related to working with children. The position involves managing library hours and ensuring safe access for the community.
Location: Kilwinning Library St Winnings Lane Kilwinning, KA13 6EP
Rate: £13.48 - £13.78 per hour
Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: 30 hours per week
Interviews may be conducted in person or via Microsoft Teams. You will need a device with a camera and internet access. Guidance will be provided for virtual interviews.

Working hours are: Week 1: Mon 9.30am-1pm & 2pm-5pm, Tue 9.30am-1pm & 2pm-5pm, Wed 9.30am-12.30pm, Thu 9.30am-1pm & 2pm-5pm, Fri 9.30am-1pm & 2pm-5pm; Week 2: same as Week 1, except Wed off, plus Sat 9.30am-12.30pm.

PVG (Children)
This role involves Regulated Work with Children under the PVG Scheme, and applicants must not be barred from working with children.
