LEYTON SIXTH FORM COLLEGE is seeking a Library and Study Skills Assistant to enhance their literacy and learning programs. This role involves promoting reading, facilitating student engagement, and supporting academic achievement within a diverse educational environment. Start date: Wednesday 20th August 2025
Salary: £26,421- £28,426 per annum inclusive of London weighting
Contract: 36 hours per week, term time only plus 10 days (0.908fte) x1 post and 20 hours per week,term time only plus 10 days (0.505fte) x 1 post

We are currently seeking an exceptional library and study skills assistant. You will make a significant contribution to our highly successful literacy and learning programme area.
You will support the Library’s promotion of wider reading, assist with enrichment activities and liaise with subject areas to ensure that our learning resources are used effectively. The role is varied and will offer a rewarding opportunity to enable our students to achieve their full academic potential.
In addition, you should have excellent communication skills and a track record of sustained improvement leading to a positive impact on students’ progress. You will be committed to student-centred learning, and to raising the attainment and aspirations of our students.
