Godolphin was founded 300 years ago. It joined United Learning in May 2024 and became a co-educational senior school in September 2025. Chafyn Grove School was founded 146 years ago and joined United Learning in May 2025. Both schools have strong reputations serving generations of local families whilst providing boarding facilities for pupils from both the UK and overseas. As one school, Chafyn-Godolphin School will provide an excellent education for children from three years old in nursery up to the age of 18.From September 2026, the school will be fully merged as Chafyn-Godolphin School operating across the current Chafyn and Godolphin sites.United Learning is a large and growing group of schools aiming to offer a life-changing education to children and young people across England. This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding School Librarian to join Chafyn Godolphin. The successful candidate will lead and develop the School Library as a dynamic hub of reading, research, independent learning and academic enrichment, supporting pupils from Prep through to Senior School.

The role sits at the heart of the school's academic provision and contributes directly to our aims of developing Curiosity, Courage, Kindness and Belonging. The Librarian will foster a culture of reading for pleasure, information literacy and independent scholarship, helping pupils become confident, discerning and enthusiastic learners. In this role, you will:

• Lead and develop the School Library as an engaging, inclusive and well-resourced learning environment.
• Promote reading for pleasure and a lifelong love of literature through events, initiatives, author visits and enrichment opportunities.
• Support pupils in developing research, study and information literacy skills, enabling them to become independent and responsible learners.
• Curate and manage a high-quality collection of physical and digital resources that supports teaching, learning and academic excellence across the school.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff to enrich the curriculum and contribute to the wider academic and co-curricular life of the school.
• Be part of a thriving co-educational independent school with ambitious plans for the future.
