Job summary

Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced clinician to join the Liaison Psychiatry Team at University Hospital Dorset (UHD). The post involves independent assessment, complex clinical decisions, and leading education for Liaison Psychiatry staff and hospital colleagues.

Qualifications

• Must have Advanced Clinical Practitioner qualifications or equivalent.
• Experience in liaison psychiatry or acute hospital settings is preferred.
• Ability to provide independent assessment and advanced clinical decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership for co-occurring mental health, alcohol and substance use within Liaison Psychiatry.
• Lead service development and training for staff in line with national guidelines (NICE).
• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care across hospital settings.
• Collaborate with MDTs and external services to maintain seamless patient care.
• Travel between UHD hospital sites as required.
