Are you looking for an exciting and dynamic role in Criminal Justice that offers the opportunity to engage and support service users with diverse vulnerabilities and needs? We are seeking an enthusiastic and conscientious individual for the position of Liaison and Diversion Practitioner (LDP) within Liaison, Diversion and Reconnect (LD&R).
LD&R is a countywide service serving Kent and Medway Police custody suites, Magistrates, Crown Courts, Prisons, and the wider community. This role offers a chance to join a thriving service known for excellent service user care and stakeholder engagement.
The post holder must hold a full, valid UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle for business purposes, unless exempted due to a disability under the Equality Act 2010.
As an LDP, you will screen, signpost, and support individuals in Police custody suites and Kent Prisons, identifying health and social vulnerabilities impacting their well-being. You will also be part of the LD&R Support, Time, Recovery (STR) team in the community, supporting aftercare for clients involved in the criminal justice system.

A comprehensive local induction will be provided. The role requires flexible working across custody suites, prisons, and community settings, with travel across a wide geographical area. The position is subject to full vetting by Kent Police/HMP due to environment sensitivities.
