Liability Admitted Claims Handler

Location: Chester (Hybrid)

At Proximo, the UK’s leading provider of specialist and adapted replacement vehicles, we are dedicated to keeping people on the move. When vehicles are out of action, we step in to provide replacements, ensuring our customers maintain their independence and mobility.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Specialist Claims Handler to join Proximo Legal Services, a leading credit hire and personal injury firm based in our Chester Head Office. As part of our liability admitted team, you will manage a caseload of files where liability has been formally admitted. This is a crucial role within the team, helping to drive cases forward towards resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • File Management: Handle files by obtaining medical reports, liaising with clients, sharing reports, and working towards settlements or issuing cases in line with company expectations
  • Client Management: Set and manage client expectations around case settlements.
  • Client Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, addressing their queries and providing information throughout the process.
  • Portal Management: Utilise our in-house case management system (Proclaim) to liaise with clients, insurers, expert witnesses, and solicitors.

What are we looking for?

  • A law degree or equivalent legal qualification.
  • At least 2 years' experience within the Personal Injury sector, including experience with the OIC and MOJ Portals.
  • Confidence in managing Part-8 litigated files and a proactive approach to negotiation.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple cases at once.
  • The ability to learn and apply new skills as required.
