Driver Hire is recruiting a Class 2 driver for the Melksham area. This role involves careful driving with an operator managing pothole repairs, with working hours from 07:00 to 16:00, Monday to Friday, and occasional weekend shifts.

Job description

We are recruiting for a Class 2 driver for the Melksham area. You will be required to drive very carefully and slowly due to having an operator attached to the back of the wagon.

You will be driving to locations with potholes. The operator will get out to fill in the potholes, and you will drive at a slow speed as directed by the operator.

• Working hours: 07:00 – 16:00 with a 1-hour break
• Monday – Friday, with occasional weekend work

Pay: PAYE £15.69 (holiday included)

Requirements:

• You must pass a drink/drugs test and a safety-critical medical on the first day
• Driving under GB domestic rules; you must operate the tachograph and select the 'out of scope' option
• Wear safety boots and high-visibility trousers/top
• At least 1 year of experience using your Class 2 license
