Braintree District Council in Essex is seeking a qualified HGV Cat C driver to join our Waste and Recycling team. You will operate an LGV on diverse routes across the district and undertake loading duties with your crew.

This permanent, full-time role offers a salary of £31,281 to £32,219 per year, with shifts from 7am to 3pm Monday to Thursday and 7am to 2:30pm Friday, plus occasional weekend work. A strong commitment to safety and customer service is essential.

Formación

• LGV Cat C license is essential.
• Driver CPC qualification required.
• Experience with regulations for commercial vehicles up to Cat C.
• Experience in outdoor/manual environments.
• Experience in public-facing roles helpful.
• Experience with waste collection or similar routes is a plus.
• Strong health and safety awareness and teamwork.

Responsabilidades

• Drive LGV Cat C vehicle on scheduled routes collecting waste across the district.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Complete required documentation and logs.
• Assist with loading duties and support other crews as needed.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures and company policies.
• Occasional weekend work may be required.
