Job summary

Ocado Logistics is seeking a Fleet Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of our LGV fleet at the Dordon site, ensuring safety, compliance and smooth operation. You will take ownership of fleet administration and work closely with internal teams and suppliers to deliver efficient operations.

In this fast-paced logistics environment, strong organisational skills, data mindset and proactive problem-solving are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Manage fleet information, records, audits and reporting.

  • Chase tax paperwork and arrange V5s and MOT certificates.
  • Coordinate fleet movements and transfers.
  • Monitor fleet compliance and support Operator Licence requirements.
  • Analyse fleet data and suggest improvements.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, service providers and internal teams.
  • Support Health & Safety and safe working practices.

We’re looking for someone to take ownership of our LGV fleet at our Dordon site, playing a key role in keeping our fleet safe, compliant, well‑maintained and operational.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced logistics operation where your fleet expertise will have a direct impact on the day‑to‑day running of the site.

About The Role

As Fleet Manager, you’ll take responsibility for the day‑to‑day management and administration of our fleet of approximately 80 fleet units and 106 trailers.

You’ll be the go‑to person for fleet information, documentation, compliance and processes, working closely with internal teams, suppliers and external service providers.

Your Responsibilities Will Include
  • Managing fleet information, records, audits and reporting.
  • Ensuring fleet and vehicle documentation remains accurate and compliant.
  • Coordinating MOTs, servicing, fridge maintenance and inspections.
  • Managing vehicle defects and fleet documentation.
  • Chasing tax paperwork and arranging V5s and MOT certificates.
  • Coordinating fleet collections, deliveries and transfers.
  • Monitoring fleet compliance and supporting the site's Operator Licence requirements.
  • Analysing fleet data, identifying trends and making recommendations.
  • Working closely with suppliers, service providers and internal stakeholders.
  • Supporting Health & Safety and ensuring safe working practices.
  • Providing wider operational support to the LGV management team when required.
What To Expect

This is a varied role where no two days will be exactly the same.

You’ll have ownership of the fleet administration function while working alongside a wider LGV operation, giving you the opportunity to build strong relationships across the site and make a real difference to how the fleet operates.

Although the role doesn't have direct reports, there will be opportunities to support the wider LGV team, attend meetings and contribute to a positive and high‑performing working environment.

You’ll need to be organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple priorities, with a strong eye for detail and the confidence to challenge or elevate issues when required.

  • A strong communicator and problem solver
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced operational environment
  • Knowledgeable around fleet compliance and legislation
  • Flexible and proactive in their approach
  • A current UK driving licence holder

LGV legislation, Health & Safety, financial or people-management experience would be advantageous, but previous fleet experience is the key requirement.
