Job Title: Light Goods Vehicle (LGV) Mechanic

NEOS Engineering is currently collaborating with one of the UK’s largest plant companies, seeking an experienced LGV Mechanic to join their team. This practical role involves maintaining vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes to high standards, ensuring they are in excellent working order.

Responsibilities:

1. Carrying out routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake checks, and tyre replacements.
2. Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools.
3. Performing repairs on engines, transmissions, suspension systems, and other key components.
4. Preparing vehicles for MOT testing, including conducting pre-MOT inspections and addressing necessary repairs.
5. Responding to emergency breakdowns and performing on-site repairs when needed.
6. Maintaining accurate records of work and service logs for each vehicle.
7. Communicating effectively with customers and fleet managers regarding repairs and costs.

Candidate Requirements:

• Reliable, skilled, and hands-on in maintaining light goods vehicles, with a professional and approachable manner.
• Proven experience working on light goods vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes, with a solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with diagnostic equipment and a wide range of tools.
• Preferred but not essential: qualified MOT tester capable of conducting MOT tests.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
