Job summary

Anglian Water is recruiting an LGV Driver for its Operational Logistics team in Stowmarket. The role involves a rotating day shift, average 12-hour shifts, with a standby rota and early starts (around 4–5am).

You will transport waste between sites, follow safety procedures, and support environmental initiatives while interacting with customers and the public. The ideal candidate has a Class 1 LGV licence with endorsements, CPC qualification, and a hands-on, reliable approach.

Qualifications

• Valid LGV driver's license with endorsements (Class 1 Driving Licence C&E)
• Fully completed CPC
• Hands-on attitude and willingness to perform physical work
• Reliable and safe driving record with ability to operate various vehicles
• Team player who can work with local site managers and operators
• Environmentally conscious to promote sustainable practices on every job
• Good communication and polite attitude when interacting with customers

Responsibilities

• Safely transport waste products between operational sites while following Health & Safety procedures
• Collaborate with central Operational Logistics office teams and site managers
• Maintain Anglian Water standards by delivering sewage-related by-products to various destinations
• Work at height and complete occupational health checks including ladder safety
• Undergo drug and alcohol testing as part of safety commitments
• Carry out manual tasks, lifting and sorting waste materials
• Promote environmental sustainability in daily duties
• Maintain professional interactions with customers and the public
