Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc invites you to join our Middleton site as Driver Trainer. You will lead end-to-end driver training, ensure tachograph, safety, and transport compliance, and foster a strong safety culture across the North region.

This full-time, on-site role requires 37.5 hours per week with 4:00 am starts, and travel within northern sites as needed. Salary up to £41,133 per annum plus pension, private medical and dental insurance, and more.

Qualifications

• Proven LGV driving experience with knowledge of hours, tachograph legislation and working time rules.
• Experience delivering driver training, assessments and development across a driver workforce.
• Confident communicator who can influence drivers to safe, compliant behaviours.
• Strong organisational and planning skills with IT proficiency across MS Office.
• Willingness to travel across Northern sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end driver training, including CPC delivery, onboarding and assessments.
• Deliver mandatory compliance training (tachographs, vehicle safety, H&S, fire safety, SOPs).
• Maintain auditable training records and continuously improve materials and delivery methods.
• Provide post-incident coaching to promote safe driving and reduce incidents.
• Collaborate with Transport Management to ensure audit readiness and regulatory adherence.
