Job description

UK Operations

The Freightliner Group operates under several legal entities, including Freightliner Group Ltd, Freightliner Heavy Haul Ltd, Freightliner Ltd, Pentalver Transport Ltd, and Pentalver Cannock Ltd.

Job Responsibilities

1. Undertake all roadworthy checks of Vehicles and Trailers.
2. Ensure vehicles are driven with due care and attention when in the Terminal or on the Public Highway, aiming for maximum efficiency through correct driving.
3. Ensure the safety of the load and vehicle at all times, meeting security/safety requirements when parked off-site.
4. Promptly collect and deliver containers to designated points.
5. Submit all relevant details regarding damage to company or customer property, or accidents involving the public, in accordance with the Drivers Rulebook.
6. Manage all collection and delivery documentation.
7. Maintain and record tachograph discs and other logs as required by legal and company standards.
8. Keep assigned vehicle clean, tidy, and odour-free.
9. Occasional overnight stays may be required, with a Night Out allowance provided.
