Job summary

Currys plc in Bristol is offering an Apprentice LGV Driver role as part of a 10‑month training programme. The position combines hands‑on driving with masterclasses, CPC/Digital Tachograph training and online learning to prepare you for a 7.5T driving career while delivering property to our customers.

You will gain a licensed 7.5T driver qualification, CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card. The role emphasizes outstanding customer service and safe handling of stock, with progression into a full driver

Qualifications

• A full Class B UK/EA driving licence held for at least 6 months, with no more than 6 penalty points.
• You must be aged 18 or over at enrolment.
• You must have lived in the UK for the last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Delivering products through a multi‑drop driving role.
• Lifting and installing a variety of items for our customers.
• Making sure every delivery is accurate and on time.
• Creating positive, lasting impressions with every customer interaction.

Salary - £29,858 per annum + up to 10% bonus

Role overview:

Our 10-month apprenticeship is designed for those with little or no experience but are looking to build a career as a Driver. You’ll receive hands‑on training, expert‑led masterclasses, and online learning to help you:

• Achieve your C1 (7.5T) licence
• Gain your CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Earn the Urban Driver Level 2 qualification
• Build first‑class customer service skills

What you’ll be doing once qualified:

• Delivering products through a multi‑drop driving role
• Lifting and installing a variety of items for our customers
• Making sure every delivery is accurate and on time
• Creating positive, lasting impressions with every customer interaction

What we’re looking for:

• A full Class B UK/EA driving licence held for at least 6 months, with no more than 6 penalty points
• You must be aged 18 or over at the point of enrolment.
• You must have lived in the UK for the last 3 years (apprenticeship funding requirement)
• A genuine passion for delivering great customer service
• The ability to handle heavy stock safely and confidently
