Job summary

Currys plc in Wednesbury invites applications for a 7.5T Driver Apprentice. This 10-month programme leads to a professional driving career with hands-on training, expert masterclasses and online learning.

You’ll gain a C1 (7.5T) licence, CPC and Digital Tachograph Card, and Urban Driver Level 2 qualification while delivering products to customers. The role is a full-time apprenticeship based at the Birmingham Customer Service Centre, paying £29,858 per year with a bonus of up to 10% and ongoing

Qualifications

• A full Class B UK/EA driving licence held for at least 6 months, with no more than 6 penalty points
• You must be aged 18 or over at the point of enrolment
• You must have lived in the UK for the last 3 years (apprenticeship funding requirement)
• A genuine interest in developing a career as a Driver
• The ability to handle heavy stock safely and confidently

Responsibilities

• Delivering products through a multi-drop driving role
• Lifting and installing a variety of items for our customers
• Making sure every delivery is accurate and on time
• Creating positive, lasting impressions with every customer interaction

Role overview
